Messaline Blanc

Messaline Blanc

Messaline, wife of the Emperor Claudius (48 A.D.), was famous for her epicureanism and the magnificence of her banquets.
For her we have researched the greatest terroirs, selected their best vineyards and picked the very best grapes by hand.
Clandestinely, deep in our cellars, we have vinified in barrels of french oak a composition of the greatest mediterranean grapes : Vermentino, Marsanne, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc (White Grenache).

Once the raisins became wine we left it to mature for nine months to enrich its fruity aromas, its buttery hints with a suggestion of toast.
Messaline is a unique wine, produced in small quantities, which will seduce you in its own right or accompanied by fine food : Foie Gras, Fish done in a sauce, midly matured cheeses.
You can appreciate the wine as from now or equally leave it a few years for it to acquire a great aromatic complexity.
